February and March 2007
Over the past couple of months we have been busy, busy, busy with many outdoor adventures. We enjoyed snowshoeing and learning about dogsledding. We built a snowfort and made popcan fishing poles for our icefishing trip (which ended up getting canceled because of icky weather). We went sledding and snow mobiling. We also learned about maple syrup making and helped to collect sap at from the Black Maple trees that were tapped at Whitewater State Park.
We participated in some fun team building activities and the older kids have really begun to take on strong leadership roles. We closed out the month of March with a three-legged litter cleanup at the Plainview Public Library. That was pretty fun to watch as the kids raced in teams of three to pick up the most litter. Lots of great winter fun this year!!!!
