I recently asked the kids in both the St. Charles and Plainview Project GO programs to write down some of their favorite experiences thus far. Here’s what they had to say:

“I really liked making pinecone bird feeders because I’ve never made on before.” - Anna, age 5 from St. Charles.

“I learned that owls eat mice. My favorite activity was sledding down the big hill at Jessen’s Park.” - Tanner, age 9 from St. Charles.

“I really liked trying the geo-caching and learning the different calls that owls make.” - Taylor, age 10 from St. Charles.

“My favorite Project GO activity was helping with the flood clean up at Whitewater State Park.” - Ashley, age 9 from Plainview.

“My favorite activity was the fossils because they were so COOL! It was fun and I had a good time!” - Patrick, age 9 from Millville.

“I liked going sledding, especially when it was really icy and I was able to go down without a sled!” - Zach, age five from St. Charles.

“I learned alot about owls but my favorite activity was when we went swimming at the pool and at Whitewater State Park.” - Dalton, age 8 from Plainview.

This month we enjoyed adding on to our fort/shelter we started building last month in St. Charles.

On one of the colder days, we learned about different animals calls and the kids all tried out each of the calls.

We also enjoyed snowshoeing at a local City Park and at Carley State Park.
