For the month of May, we enjoyed many fun spring activities outdoors.

With the help of a local Audubon Society member, we enjoyed a wildflower hike out at Carley State Park. The kids worked together to find a variety of spring flowers listed on a checklist.

We also had fun learning how to fish on the river. Using corn and simple push-button casting reels, the kids had a blast catching chubs on the Whitewater River.

We also had a visit from a local boy scout leader who introduced the kids to the Leave No Trace concept by sharing hands-on activities from the REI Leave No Trace certification program.

We made sure to spend some time working in our small garden plot too!
